2017-18 Restoration Competition

The 2017-18 competition will be a "Construct/Restore/Build" competition. The rules are as follows:

The Entries

Dan Bedford's one transistor reflex receiver from June 1963 Radio, Television and Hobbies magazine (first prize)
Ray Slater's Airzone 550 before restoration. It went under during the 1974 floods and was later attacked by white ants.
Ray Slater's 1933/34 Airzone 550 after restoration (second prize)
Rob Zanchetta's fully restored 1925/26 Atwater Kent Model 30 (third prize)
Hand built from scratch by Toby Croce, this beautiful inlay cabinet housed a modified 5 valve receiver
Ross Wedding's Silicon Chip Super 7 AM receiver
Mike Melzer's restored 1924 Atwater Kent 20C battery set
Mike Melzer's power supply for 1920's battery radios
